Former South Africa cricketer AB de Villiers claimed that during his time with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Shivam Dube never really felt at home. According to de Villiers, the lanky all-rounder only realised his full potential after joining the Chennai Super Kings. Here, the former captain of South Africa is correct. The figures support him. 2019 saw Dube begin his IPL career with RCB. During his two seasons with the Virat Kohli-led team, he scored just 169 runs at a strike rate of 122 in 15 games.
After being let go by RCB, Dube joined the Rajasthan Royals prior to the 2021 Indian Premier League. However, the left-hander with a lot of power didn’t receive any attention from success. Although he scored 230 runs in 9 games, he had a better season overall. However, his 119 strike rate was problematic.
