Former Australia great Ricky Ponting and seasoned New Zealand player Stephan Fleming were reportedly among the leading candidates; but, because to their commitment to long-term relationships and a demanding schedule, the two did not show much enthusiasm in the role. According to a Dainik Jagran article, Gautam Gambhir, who appears to be the front-runner to succeed Rahul Dravid, is in a difficult situation.
