After Rahul Dravid steps down as head coach of Team India in June, the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is aggressively screening candidates to take over. Former Australia great Ricky Ponting and seasoned New Zealand player Stephan Fleming were reportedly among the leading candidates; but, because to their commitment to long-term relationships and a demanding schedule, the two did not show much enthusiasm in the role. According to a Dainik Jagran article, Gautam Gambhir, who appears to be the front-runner to succeed Rahul Dravid, is in a difficult situation.
