At Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Sanju Samson’s RR will take on the KL Rahul-led LSG in the opening match of the IPL.
In addition to having well-rounded squads, both Rajasthan and Lucknow need to fill a few positions prior to the game. Prior to Adam Zampa withdrawing from the competition, RR had already lost Prasidh Krishna to injury. It will be interesting to watch how the LSG XI plays out in the interim, as Rahul has been asked by the BCCI to play as a specialist batter for the time being.
The Super Giants have a well-balanced batting lineup thanks to a number of proven game-winners including Marcus Stoinis, Quinton de Kock, Nicholas Pooran, and KL Rahul. However, Rajasthan has advantages in the form of a potent batting lineup and the seasoned spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and R. Ashwin.
