The 2024 ICC T20 World Cup will consist of 20 teams in total.
Only a few days remain till the cricket world’s next major event. The 2024 ICC T20 World Cup will be held in the USA and the West Indies. The USA and Canada will play in the opening match of this event on June 1.
With the 20 top teams in the world competing against one another, this upcoming tournament will be the largest T20 World Cup ever held. 1. India squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2024:
On April 30, Team India, the winners of the inaugural season, also revealed their roster, which includes a few new members. The captain is Rohit Sharma, while Hardik Pandya will serve as his deputy. In the last few years, Nepal has become one of the cricketing nations with the quickest rate of growth. They will compete in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup after making enormous progress in the sport. On May 1, they made their team announcement. The team will be captained by star all-arounder Rohit Paudel, and they have named an experienced group of players who have been playing for some time. The 20th team to earn a spot in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was Uganda. Through the African qualifiers, in which Zimbabwe participated as well, they were able to advance. Their lineup has been revealed, and Brian Masaba will captain his nation in this momentous occasion—it’s their first-ever ICC competition. Uganda’s first game against Afghanistan is scheduled for June 3; the country is ranked in Group C.

The squad is made up of a mix of youthful and seasoned players, which works well together because they have access to several all-round players. Group A opponents Canada will play the US on June 1 in the tournament’s opening match.

However, they will be present at the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup. They revealed the roster, which included some returning veterans, on May 6. Michael Jones and Brad Wheal returned, and Richie Berrington will be the team’s leader. against June 4, Scotland will take against the reigning champions, England, in their inaugural game.

The squad looks the same as it has for the last few seasons; the only surprise is the new captain. Veteran opener Aqib Ilyas has replaced Zeeshan Maqsood as the new captain. Oman are placed in Group B and will face Namibia in their opening game on June 3.
